I did my undergraduate and graduate studies in mathematics at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. After completing my undergraduate degree I worked as an auditor for two years. In 1981 I decided to go back to college and pursue my dream of teaching at the college level. After completing my masters degree, I taught at Northern Virginia Community College for 13 years. In 1997 I moved to Florida and began teaching here at Seminole State. In addition to teaching, I do freelance work with a variety of publishers. I have written numerous mathematics supplements and have done extensive editing of other authors' works.
When not at Seminole State teaching I am at home with my husband, daughter, 2 dogs (Yorkie and Pug), and Sun Conure. My hobbies include bowling (several leagues), reading, games (especially cards) and traveling.
