Dottie Holtgrefe



Dorothy Holtgrefe earned her undergraduate degree in Math Education from Ohio State University in 1959.  Two years later she earned her MS in Math Education from Montclair State College in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.

In 1996 (thirty-five years later) she earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Holtgrefe taught mathematics both in Orange County Public Schools (1959-1981) and also at Seminole State College (1981-2003). 

Dorothy Holtgrefe returned to teaching in 2005 and is currently teaching three levels of algebra at the Altamonte Springs Campus.

Dottie Holtgrefe has four children and nine grandchildren.  Her hobbies include reading, walking on the beach at sunrise, and playing competitive bridge.

She feels blessed that she has had the privilege of working with college students who energize her and help her maintain a healthy mental attitude.
